As my experience with press and editorial design told me, luxury is always a blank page: it is pretty obvious that whenever you leave a blank page there is space for breathing, resting and relieving the eyes of your reader. It also shows that the publisher does not need to seel every square-centimeter of the page. It was, however, amusing to see Gérar Genette stating this in precise, explicit words: waste is always luxurious.
